Yellow Flint Corn KWS & Orange Flint Corn PIONEER

We grow two specialized flint corn hybrids from KWS: Amaros and BigBeat (flint-dent hybrid).
Both are high-quality hybrids suitable for producing corn grits, but each has distinct features that make them ideal for additional applications in feed production.
We also grow Orange Flint Corn PIONEER which is suitable for human consumption as well as for wild bird feed production.
Here's a closer look at their characteristics:
  • Flint Corn KWS - Amaros

Amaros is a pure flint corn hybrid with dense, glassy kernels, ideal for industrial processing and grit production. Along with its use for human consumption, it’s highly durable and widely favored for wild bird feed.

    Key Features:

    • Kernel Structure: Completely flinty, ensuring a hard texture and high grit yield during processing.
    • Protein Content: Provides an excellent nutritional profile, supporting its dual use in food and feed production.
    • Bird Feed Applications: The hard, uniform kernels are ideal for creating high-quality feed mixtures for wild birds, particularly in winter.

  • Flint-Dent Corn KWS - BigBeat

BigBeat is a flint-dent hybrid, meaning its kernels combine the hardness of flint corn with the higher starch content of dent corn. This hybrid is versatile and often used for grit production as well as for animal feed, particularly wild game like wild boars, deer, and other animals.

    Key Features:

    • Kernel Composition: Flint-dent type with a balanced starch-to-hardness ratio makes it suitable for grits and feed.
    • Wildlife Feed Applications: Ideal for preparing feed for larger animals, such as wild boars and deer, thanks to its higher digestibility compared to pure flint hybrids.
    • Energy-Rich: Contains a high level of carbohydrates, making it a valuable source of energy for wildlife during cold seasons.

  • Orange Flint Corn PIONEER

Orange Flint Corn PIONEER is a high-quality flint corn hybrid with dense, glassy kernels, ideal for industrial processing and grit production. Its durability makes it a top choice for both human consumption and wild bird feed.

    Key Features:

    • Kernel Structure: Purely flinty with a hard, dense texture, ensuring excellent grit production.
    • Nutrient Content: Rich in carotenoids like beta-carotene, making it ideal for specialized diets, while yellow corn is more versatile.
    • Bird Feed Applications: Hard, uniform kernels are perfect for creating high-quality feed mixes for wild birds, particularly in winter when extra nutrition is needed.
